Welcome to the Pub...

By Caleb Tu | Editor-in-Chief

Once upon a time, thousands of years ago, there was an Author. He wrote the world into being with a Word, shaping it with all its breathtaking beauty and filling it with life. Now, thousands of years later, we who were made in His image, marred and broken though it may be, attempt to imitate Him and create worlds of our very own.

We live in a dangerous and often confusing world, full of doubts and unknowns. Life can be tiring and dangerous to navigate. But even through the brokenness of this world, we reflect the Author of all through our creativity and storytelling. Many people seek to create but oftentimes have no proper course forward; thousands of worlds forged by wild imaginations die when their creators find themselves without a place to grow in their creativity. Writers need community, perhaps more than anyone. So, we have built this as a haven, a platform where creatives like us can come to learn and grow, to see what others have managed to create and to show off their own creations. In this vein, we strive to create and foster a community of likeminded creatives who seek to honor the Author of life itself. In the midst of this dangerous path we walk, we set forth to encourage other creatives to continue telling their stories.

To this end, we have founded this establishment as a place where we can share our knowledge and experiences with you, our fellow travellers on this road, in hopes that the encouragement it may bring will lighten your steps and push you forward. Each of us has experience in different genres, and we hope to share our own experiences both within those specific genres and in the realm of writing as a whole. Our intention is to post two pieces of staff content a month, on the second and fourth Saturdays, on various topics related to writing. Be sure to subscribe to the website and follow us on social media to be notified when those are posted! We also aim to be a platform where other creatives can put forth their works to be published. These publications are in the works, and we will give more information on them as the time draws nearer. We hope that these resources will be helpful for you, and that you will join us all on our respective journeys as aspiring authors for the glory of our ultimate Creator.

So: Ladies and gentlemen, travellers of all varieties, writers and readers and filmers and watchers and expositers and dice-rollers, it is my very great pleasure to welcome you to The Pub.

We hope you enjoy.
