​In order for us to consider your submission, please adhere to the following guidelines. If you do not follow our submission guidelines we cannot publish your work as a part of our publication.

• Fiction submissions must be between 1,500 and 8,000 words.

• Creative Nonfiction submissions must be between 800 and 1,500 words.

• Poetry submissions must be between 8 and 45 lines. The Pub accepts all forms of structured poetry and free verse.

• Flash fiction pieces must be no longer than 1,000 words.

 

Authors and artists may request to be published anonymously. Whether they choose to publish anonymously or not, they still must fill in the form below to prove affiliation and prevent plagiarism.

 

If you have already submitted your work to another publication, you may not resubmit it to The Pub unless the previous publication explicitly allows you to submit your work on other sites.

 

​Authors and artists may submit to more than one category, but must make a separate submission for each one. They may also submit up to two pieces per category per issue.

 

The Pub does not tolerate plagiarism of any kind. All work submitted to The Pub must be submitted by the rightful author. Any submission of stolen work will result in ineligibility to publish work in all current and future issues. At The Pub, we take pride in all of our work being free of generative AI. Any submission of work that has been significantly modified or written by generative AI in any way will result in ineligibility to publish work in all current and future issues.

​Code of Conduct:

In keeping with our biblically based worldview, we reserve the right to reject any work we see as ill fitting for values and beliefs. Topics included but not limited to this exclusion are as follows: sexual content of any kind, foul or blasphemous language, homosexuality, supporting of satanic imagery, and imagery involving opposition to God.

 

We hold to the standard of Corinthians 10, allowing the Word of God and spiritual convictions to guide our choices in ways that will glorify Him best. We will not stray from tackling difficult and meaningful subjects, but we do ask that any touchy material be passed through this lens. The Bible covers a multitude of heavy subjects, all pointing towards the Will of God and the contrast between the perfect Creator and sinful humanity. Any content of similar nature should follow this nature as closely as possible.

 

Thank you for understanding, and while you may not agree with us, this is the standard to which we shall hold fast in order to stay above reproach and continue to please God. We hold the right to deny any content that does not align with our stated submission guidelines and code of conduct.
